Online applications

It will take between 15 and 30 minutes to apply online if you have all your documentation and information ready. Follow the steps below.

If you prefer not to continue with this online application, you can also apply by mail.

Step 1: Find a course

Use the Monash Course Finder to find a course that's right for you. You could also consider a Monash College diploma pathway. Check all entry requirements and prerequisites for courses.

If you are applying for postgraduate courses, check the closing dates for applications.

Step 2: Have all relevant documentation and information ready

Please note:

  • Results documents must include a key to the meaning of the grades
  • If your documentation is in a language other than English, an official certified translation must be provided
  • All electronic documents for upload with your application must be in a suitable file format: pdf, doc or rtf text files or pdf or jpg image files. If you provide files in other foramats it may delay assessment of your application. The file size limit is 2.5mb per file.
(If you are unable to provide documents in electronic form, you can post them to us, although this will delay assessment of your application.)
  • You must also post us certified hard (paper) copies of your results/proof of course completion, proof of identity/citizenship, reference letters, TOEFL results and proof of professional registration. You can print down a cover sheet from the online application with instructions about certified copies.

To apply online you will need:

  • a valid email address
  • course details (course title, code, commencement date) for all courses you intend to apply for
  • your academic transcripts in file format for upload (or you can mail these to us later)
  • documents that support any application for credit for prior learning (including official transcripts or results from your previous studies, and copies of the syllabus of subjects for which you are seeking credit) in file format for upload (or you can post these to us later)

Some courses require you to submit other documents such as details of relevant work experience - please check for special application requirements in Course Finder.

If your previous study was at Monash College or Monash University, you do not need to provide us with copies of your results – but you must enter your Monash Student ID number in the online application form.

Step 3: Register and apply online

Create an online application account and begin your application. You can exit and log back in to continue your application at any point - the application is saved after you complete each page.

Before you submit your application you will be asked to accept the conditions.

Step 4: Track your application online

Once you have submitted your application, you can track your application online by logging back in to your online application account.

If you need to send documents after submitting your application (eg, if your results are released later), you can do this by logging back in to your online application - click on the 'Upload or send documents' button. You may also need to send us certified hard (paper) copies of documents.

Step 5: Offers

Monash University will assess your application. If you are successful, you will be able to view your offer online and indicate that you intend to accept it.

You will be sent a formal offer letter and enrolment instructions through the post. You must follow those instructions to keep your place in the course.

Please note: If you submit an incomplete application, you may be awarded a conditional offer from Monash. Once you forward the missing information or supporting documentation, you can be awarded a full offer.
