How do I send in documents after I’ve submitted my application?

After you submit your application, you can either:

  • Submit more documents electronically, or
  • Post us hard copy (paper) documents such as certified copies.

To do either of these things, log back into your online application account.

  • If your application is still being assessed, a button to upload documents will appear next to it.
  • From the document upload page you can also print down a hard copy cover sheet with your details, instructions on certified copies, and where to post documents.

I’ve got my preferences in the wrong order – how do I change the order?

Before you submit your application you can go to the course selection step and raise or lower courses in the preference order using the up-arrows and down-arrows in the list of preferences.

If you have already submitted your application, you will need to contact applicant support to ask us to change your preference order.

My institution/school/course/qualification isn’t on the drop-down list of values. How do I enter it?

There is a field for ‘other institution’, ‘other school’ etc.

My waive fee promotion code doesn’t work

Is it past its use-by date? The date range for which the code is valid appears at the bottom of the voucher.

Under Secondary Education Details I don’t understand what is meant by “result”

Some overseas high school matriculation qualifications don’t provide an overall result in the statement of results. If you’re not sure just leave this field blank and we will work it out for you.

What is my English course code?

The English for Academic Preparation course code is 3658.

Why can't I find the course I want to apply for?

Some courses are not available for international and/or domestic online applications. For example, in the first semester (February) domestic applicants for undergraduate courses must apply through VTAC. Second semester (July) domestic applications may not have opened yet, or the course may not have a mid-year intake.

Many honours courses don’t accept online applications: you would need to contact the faculty to find out how to apply.

If you believe a course should be available online, but it isn't, contact applicant support.

Why can't I update my address details?

If you have submitted your online application you no longer have access to update your details. Contact applicant support  to ask us to change your address.

Why haven’t I received the email with my login details?

There are three possible reasons, and here is what to do for each of them.

Reason 1: Your email provider has classified the email as spam.
What to do: Follow these instructions.

Reason 2: Your email account is over quota.
What to do: Clear out emails to get below quota, then go back to the online application.
Click on “Click here to login”, then in the login screen click on “Forgotten your Account ID and password”.
The system will resend the email with your login details.

Reason 3: You made a mistake entering your email address when you set up the account.
What to do: Contact applicant support and ask them to check your online applicant account email address and, if it is wrong, to correct it.
Once they have corrected it, go back to the online application.
Click on “Click here to login”, then in the login screen click on “Forgotten your Account ID and password”.
The system will resend the email with your login details.

Why is there no step 6?

Step 6 is where you can indicate that you wish to apply for credit for previous tertiary study. If you haven’t declared any tertiary study, you won’t be shown this step.
