Internal Course Transfer

If you are currently enrolled in a coursework degree at Monash University, and wish to study a different coursework degree within Monash, take the following steps:

  1. Download an Internal Course Transfer application form, prior to the completion of your current course.
  2. Complete and submit the form to the faculty that offers the course you wish to transfer to.
  3. Pending the outcome of your application, re-enrol in your current course.

A minimum standard normally needs to be achieved during the current course to be considered for transfer (eg credit or distinction average). There may also be other requirements that need to be met. Use the faculty links below to find out more.

Applications for course transfer are considered at the same time as those for new applicants.

If your application is successful, you must complete a new:

  • Course Enrolment Form
  • Enrolment Questionnaire
  • 'Request for Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP' form (if given a Commonwealth Supported Place – CSP) or 'Request for FEE-HELP assistance' (if seeking FEE-HELP for the new course)

and you are responsible for ensuring that your old award course has been discontinued.

If you are successful in your application, your enrolment in that course will be subject to any applicable fees and conditions.

Note: If you are completing your current course and wish to enrol in another, then you must apply through VTAC for an undergraduate course. faculty offering the course that interests you.
