The Web Centre is responsible for most top-level pages of the University website and creates targeted web content, multimedia and design solutions in line with university-wide and divisional marketing strategies. The Web Centre also works with Monash clients to design and produce multimedia and online materials.

What we do
- Web development and design for top-level sites and key University initiatives
- Develop and implement a consistent, targeted and user-focused information architecture for the Monash website
- Create multimedia elements that highlight the key attributes and strengths of the University for inclusion on top-level sites
- Conduct detailed statistical analysis of web traffic for the Monash site to inform improvements to structure, content and design
- Evaluate website content with recommendations on how to write for the web
- Perform usability research (including competitor analysis and heuristic evaluations) to inform web and online communication strategies
- Provide advice to University staff on University web policy and its impact on projects and activities
- Monitor existing top-level University websites and online communications for compliance with web, branding, accessibility and usability guidelines
- Manage and promoting the University's Web Style Guide within the Monash community
- Contribute to the governance of the University's web presence through membership of the Web Steering Committee and Web Managers Forum and informal networks
- Web page redesign, including multimedia graphics and animations
