• a concise summary of the major threats and opportunities affecting the organisation
• a structured process to ensure the effective allocation of resources

The main activities of the Risk Management unit are to:

• facilitate risk management programs across the University and its controlled entities
• ensure that risk management is effectively integrated into the University's operational planning process
• review and consolidate risk profiles of the operational units to generate an overall risk profile for the University
• conduct information sessions on risk management to University staff in conjunction with the Staff Development Unit
