Monash Experience Questionnaire (MEQ)

The need for Monash to have systematic feedback from students concerning their university experience was identified in the institutional review report, “Still Learning.” Following extensive consultation and approval throughout the university, the Centre for Higher Education Quality (CHEQ) developed the Monash Experience Questionnaire, which was first administered to all Monash students in 2003. The survey represents an important way in which Monash can identify systematically major areas of the student experience that require attention by the University. The information provided will assist Monash in a number of ways, such as the planning of our campuses and preparation for an audit by the Australian Universities Quality Agency (AUQA).

The MEQ will be administered in alternate years with the next administration in 2009.

Details of the scales and global items are detailed in Table 1.
