Primary SchoolsChildren aged five years old by 30 April can attend school. All children living in Victoria between the age of six and fifteen must attend school. Children under the age of five years old can attend preschool. State, private and church run primary schools are located within close proximity to all Monash University campuses and take children from non English speaking backgrounds. For Australian resident students and international students subsidised by the Australian Government, minimal fees apply for children to attend State Government run primary schools. Private and church schools charge considerably higher fees. Full fee paying International students, depending on their visa code, are required to pay full fees for State Government schools, private and church primary schools.
