Father Geoff Harvey

Orthodox Chaplain

Fr. Geoff serves as a member of the Chaplaincy Team at Clayton campus, working with students and staff at Monash. He graduated in Electrical Engineering at London University, UK and worked for some years in Engineering.  He migrated to Australia in 1977 subsequently studying at an Australian University to complete a Bachelor of Theology.  He has served as a Parish Priest since 1982, with a period of seven years as a Defence Forces Chaplain during that time.

Fr. Geoff is available on campus from 12.30 – 4.30pm Thursday afternoons to meet with students and staff on campus for pastoral support and counsel, or simply to join with people over coffee or lunch.

Fr. Geoff offers Orthodox Divine Liturgy in English in the main Chapel of the Religious Centre (Building 9) every Sunday morning at 10am. He will hear confessions from 9.30am for those wishing to make their confession before the Liturgy. So far we have Orthodox members from the Antiochian, Greek, Russian, and Serbian traditions attending. We are united by our love for Jesus Christ and the common language of English.
