The Chaplain At Gippsland
Hello to all and welcome. My name is Father Hugh Brown and I am available to offer a listening ear about any issue in your life which touches on your well being and sense of self and spirit. This service is for everyone and it is not necessary to belong to any religious faith in order to contact me. Support, pastoral care and spiritual direction are offered to students and staff. Anyone seeking meaning and purpose in their life can find the support of a Chaplain useful. The Chaplain provides:
Please contact me on (03) 5122-6425 or drop into my office located in Health Wellbeing and Development, Room 3N102 (opposite Student Union Lounge). You can make an appointment but whenever the door is open just drop in. You may also just come up and introduce yourself whenever you see me around the campus. The Chaplaincy at the Gippsland Campus is funded by the Anglican, Uniting and Roman Catholic Dioceses with support from Monash University and has an ecumenical approach committed to interfaith dialogue and inter denominational understanding which may enrich us all. The Spiritual Centre can be used by all for services, prayer, meditation, and a time can be booked on (03) 5122-6425 with Elaine or Liz at Health, Wellbeing and Development Room 3N102 (next to Student Union Lounge). The Spiritual Centre provides a sacred space for student and staff to come and be still. Please use it as it belongs to us all. If you have a desire to use this sacred space please come and discuss it with me. I would welcome ideas you may have regarding how to best feed the spiritual needs of all students and staff on this campus. |
