Child Care OptionsHow To Choose a Child Care Service for Your ChildDepending on the age and stage of your child's development the Family & Child Care Service (University Community Services) is able to assist parents select the most appropriate child care options, on campus or elsewhere, by providing information on the following services throughout Victoria:
All Victorian child care centres where kindergarten/preschool, long day care or occasional care programs are delivered must be under the State Government's Children Services Centres Regulations. Casual Babysitting ServiceFor casual babysitting telephone the Student Employment and Careers Service on (03) 9905-4170. They have a register of babysitters coded according to locality and times available for employment in private homes. Students may also be eligible for child care subsidy on Union nights or when they are attending Union activities, Clubs and Societies events such as film nights, meetings and other student activities.
