Health Service at Peninsula Campus

The Health Services at Peninsula aims to improve the health and wellbeing of the people on campus by providing them with a better understanding of all the factors which impact on their health.

The services cooperate to offer a holistic approach to health care with an emphasis on health education and preventative measure.

Hours and Appointments

The Health Service is open 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Appointment may be made for a particular doctor or time of your choice. Please give early notice of cancellation.

Medical Service

Doctors are available for general medical consultation including education, information, advice and treatment with regards to all aspects of general practice and expertise in Women's and Men's Health, Travel Medicine, Family Planning and health counselling.

Fees

Australian Resident Students and International Students with Overseas health cover are bulk billed and in these situations no fee is raised to the individual attending.

Fees may be charged directly to the individual for some routine medical examinations (eg: Diving Medical).

The UHS also has a set of private fees. Payment is made at the time of consultation.

Members of the University Staff receive a discount service.

Campus Nurse - Health Promotion & Services

The Campus Nurse is available for general health advice, information and provides a range of public health information on a broad range of topics. The Campus Nurse also offers a comprehensive range of clinical health services to the University Community.

After Hours

Should you require urgent medical attention or telephone advice outside our regular opening hours please contact the duty doctor on 132-660. The home visit and advice service is provided to our patients by the Australian Locum Medical Services Pty Ltd.
