Mindfulness at Monash
Mindfulness involves a series of simple and easily taught meditative practices and cognitive strategies which help change unproductive thought and behaviour patterns. It could also be described as an attitude to living. Mindfulness can enhance your:

- Contentment, peace of mind & balance
- Concentration & focus in the moment
- Resilience
- Physical & emotional health
Programs & Activities
- Regular Mindfulness meditation sessions at Clayton and Caulfield campuses
- Mindfulness Facilitator training programs for Monash staff. If you are interested please contact sally.trembath@adm.monash.edu.au
- Short courses in mindfulness for staff and students.
- HWD counsellors are using mindfulness processes in their clinical group programs and individual counselling sessions.
- Seminars presented at staff development events including the OHS annual conference and the Academic Heads annual retreat.
- Hosting international speakers in mindfulness-based practice, including Jon Kabat-Zinn in 2006 and Matthieu Ricard in 2008.

Dr Hassed has conducted mindfulness programs as part of the core curriculum for Monash University medical students since 2002 and is a regular key note speaker on mindfulness and mind-body medicine at local and national conferences.
