Information on Pre-2008 eligibility for accounting, administration, commerce or economics units

If you are currently in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) studying either accounting, administration, commerce or economics units, you may be eligible to pay a lower rate of fees for these units if you have studied in a CSP previously.  Your prior study in a CSP does not have to be within the above disciplines but the course must not be completed (unless you are now undertaking an Honours year).

Please note that this lower rate will not apply if you are already paying a reduced rate as a "pre-2005 HECS student".

Prior study at Monash University: You only need to complete a "Pre-2008 eligibility form"
Prior study NOT at Monash University: You must supply proof of your pre-2008 CSP status from your previous university.  The student services area of your previous university may provide you with a letter for this purpose which states:

  • the name of your prior course, and
  • the year/s you studied and
  • that this course has not been completed, and
  • that you were in a CSP.

If you cannot obtain a letter from your previous university you may submit other documentation but it must cover all the above points.

It is your responsibility to obtain sufficient documentation and to lodge it prior to your units' census date.  Monash University cannot obtain information on your behalf.

Forms and Lodgement

Completed forms with required documentation attached can be lodged at any Student Service Centre or sent to Enrolments, Building 3C, Monash University, VIC 3800.
