HDR Re-enrolment

Timing

Re-enrolment for the 2010 academic year will commence for all HDR students on Monday 12 Oct 2009 and close on Monday 23 Nov 2009.

Method

Re-enrolment can be undertaken either by:

  • enrolling in units via the Web Enrolment System (WES), or
  • completing a hardcopy Course Enrolment Form

The email that you will be sent in September regarding re-enrolment will outline the method of re-enrolment (i.e.via WES or hardcopy Course Enrolment Form) that your faculty or the Monash Research Graduate School has decided will be most appropriate for you - most students are expected to re-enrol via WES.

Extended WES Instructions

Debt/Encumbrance

If you have any outstanding debts to the university and your enrolment has been encumbered, you will not be permitted to re-enrol until the encumbrance is resolved. Students with an administrative encumbrance are expected to re-enrol by the closing date and late resolution of the encumbrance will not be accepted as a reason for waiving the late re-enrolment fee.

Faculty and MRGS re-enrolment information

We strongly recommend that you seek course advice or undertake investigation into your unit selection for re-enrolment prior to logging onto WES.  This will enable you to process your unit selection quickly.

Late re-enrolment ($250 late fee applies)

If you do not re-enrol by the closing date you risk losing your place in the course. If your faculty or the Monash Research Graduate School allows you to re-enrol during the late re-enrolment period 24 Nov to 18 Dec 2009, you will incur a late re-enrolment fine of $250.

Failure to re-enrol

If you are deemed to have ‘failed to re-enrol’ then you are no longer considered by the university to be an enrolled student and you forfeit your place at the university. Students who fail to re-enrol should approach their faculty or the Monash Research Graduate School to determine how a place in the course may be regained.
