Existing University Policy - Camping Allowance

1. The camping allowance covers the inconvenience of living in the camp and the provision of equipment.

2. Where the University at its own cost, provides staff members with meals free of charge, the meals and incidentals allowances shall not be payable.

3. If the supervisor and staff member(s) elect to make other agreed arrangements, the camping allowance shall not be payable.

4. Staff members shall not be entitled to the camping allowance for any working day on which they are absent from duty except in cases of sickness or for any other reason beyond their control.
