Academic Board Meeting 2-2002


Meeting No 2/2002 of the Academic Board will be held at 2.15pm, Wednesday 10th April 2002, in the Council Room of the University.

The Agenda papers have been circulated. The Index of Recommendations is set out below and supplementary and replacement papers are attached. New items, or items with new or revised attachments are indicated in the Index of Recommendations by a vertical line on the left-hand side of the page.

Meetings of the Academic Board are attended by ex officio and elected members. A current list of members may be obtained from the Secretary. A non-member may request permission to attend a meeting of the Board as an observer, by telephoning extension 59004. Observers have no speaking or voting rights.

Members of the Board are reminded that items may be starred prior to the Meeting by contacting the Secretary, or at the commencement of the Meeting under item 1.1 of the Agenda.

Members are asked to note that apologies should be telephoned to extension 55061 or emailed to Samantha Rose or Janty Taylor.

21 MEMBERSHIP OF ACADEMIC BOARD VIA APPOINTMENT – PROFESSOR CHRIS COCKLIN, DIRECTOR, MONASH ENVIRONMENT INSTITUTE

In accordance with subsection 3.1.3 of Statute 2.2 – The Academic Board, members may be appointed to the Board on the nomination of the Chair of the Board provided the nominee is a member of staff and the head of any academic or support unit of the university.

RECOMMENDATION

That pursuant to section 3 of Statute 2.2 – The Academic Board, Academic Board appoint Professor Chris Cocklin, Director, Monash Environment Institute to membership of Academic Board.
