Committee of Deans Meeting 14-1993

Please note that the next meeting will be held at Gippsland campus.
The following arrangements have been made.
(1) Cars will leave University Offices Carpark, Clayton at 10:30 am and
return from Gippsland campus to Clayton at approximately 3:30 pm.
(i) For Professor Bellamy's car
Professor Bellamy, Professor Campbell, Professor Aspin and Professor Rae
(ii) For University car (with driver)
Professor Quartly and Professor Chapman
(iii) For Mr Wade's car (with driver)
Mr Wade, Professor West, Ms Cornelius
(2) Lunch will be served in the Bistro, commencing 12.30 pm.
(3) The meeting will be held in the Council Room, commencing at 2.00 pm.

116. Minutes
The minutes of Meeting No. 13/93 held on 26 October 1993 have been
circulated.
The Acting Dean of Law has requested that the report of item 115.1 be
replaced with the following statement:
The Acting Dean of Law advised that an `Australian College of Law' had
advertised that it was intending to provide University of London law
courses, and that, apparently, enrolled students would have access to the
Monash Library. The Committee noted that the matter was being investigated
and, if necessary, would be referred to the University Solicitor.

122. Representation of the Committee of Deans on University Bodies
The Dean of Education represents the Committee of Deans on the following
University committees and decision- making bodies:
Occupational Health and Safety Committee
General Library Committee
Publications Committee (Chair)
Monash University Club Management Committee.
The Dean is happy to continue representing the Committee of Deans on
these bodies until he lays down his present office on 31st January 1994,
after which date replacements would need to take up office.
This matter is referred to the Committee to consider nomination of (a)
representative(s) to the above bodies from 1994.
