3. Update on South Africa
The Vice-Chancellor will report on his meeting with the
South African Minister of Education, Professor Asmal, and his visit to
potential partners and to six universities.
4. Resource Matters
Mr Wade will introduce discussion of the paper on space
utilisation prepared by Mr John Trembath and will invite suggestions of
other matters for early consideration by the next General Manager.

5. Next Meeting
The next ordinary meeting of the Committee of Deans will
be held at 2.15pm on Tuesday 16 November 1999 in the Sir George Lush
Room.
The next meeting of the Deans Discussion Group will be
held at 4.00pm on Tuesday 7 December 1999 in the City Office.
