Terms of Reference
Provide oversight to the implementation of the Monash approach to quality with regard to undergraduate and graduate/postgraduate coursework programs.
- Advise Education Committee on the aspirations and achievements at Monash for high-quality learning and teaching, and the values that underpin those. (Strategy A1)
- Formulate guidelines for annual reports from faculties on the use of the quality process in reviewing and improving course and unit development and delivery, and review those annual reports on behalf of Education Committee. (Strategy B1)
- Identify and promote exemplars of high-quality learning, teaching and assessment at Monash as part of a strategic and collegial approach to encouraging the use of appropriate best practice in learning and teaching across all faculties. (Strategy B5)
- Develop guidelines, advise on appropriate data and encourage the dissemination of best practice quality processes to assist faculties to establish and monitor academic standards in courses and units. (Strategy C1)
Report to Education committee by last meeting of each year.
