Vice-Chancellor's Group (Quality)

Terms of Reference

Following from the recommendations in Still Learning and the institutional response in Towards Monash 2020, the terms of reference for the Vice-Chancellor's Group (Quality) are as follows:

  1. To act as the lead or 'peak' body for quality assurance and quality improvement within the organisation.
  2. To provide coordinated leadership and management of quality policy, practice and initiatives in all areas including academic, research and research training, and support services.
  3. To consider each aspect of the quality cycle including planning, implementation, monitoring, review and improvement.
  4. To bring together data from various university committees and other bodies in order to monitor quality outcomes in key areas.
  5. To monitor academic and support service reviews including the implementation of recommendations.
  6. To plan and monitor responses to the recommendations of institutional self-reviews and report to Council on the university's overall quality development.
  7. To encourage the dissemination of good practice.
