Education Committee

Terms of Reference

1. Monitor and contribute to the development, implementation and review of the education sector of the university's Academic Plan and the Monash Passport.
   
   
2. Monitor academic standards, academic quality assurance and academic program development.
   
   
3. Monitor and review coursework course and unit approval processes.
   
   
4. Endorse education policies for approval by Academic Board, approve procedures and monitor the implementation of policies and procedures.
   
   
5. Provide advice to Academic Board and faculties on education matters.
   
   
6. Liaise with the Monash Research Graduate School Committee and other bodies to provide advice on teaching and learning related issues, as appropriate.
   
   
7. Consider and report on any matter referred to it by its subcommittees, the Academic Board or the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education).
   
   
8. Establish working groups as necessary with defined objectives, tasks and timelines.

Education Committee may establish and disestablish its own subcommittees and will report to Academic Board (for noting) the establishment and disestablishment of, and any changes made to such committees
