Terms of Reference

Provide governance and a policy framework for transition and orientation.

• Develop policies regarding transition and orientation activities
• Identify transition and orientation needs, and generate working groups or subcommittees to implement specific policies
• Serve as a clearinghouse for information about orientation and transition activities at campus and faculty level
• Provide leadership regarding transition and orientation research, by sponsoring, commissioning and undertaking such research
• Report on the information gathered from these activities to Education Committee, and to transition and orientation stakeholders
• Identify and set criteria for funding special or high priority projects
• Ensure appropriate evaluation of projects, including identifying performance indicators of effectiveness

To provide an annual report to Education Committee on Transition and Orientation activities.
