International Staffing and Mobility
International Assignment
The management of international assignments is a complex process, which have a complex set of employment, remuneration, taxation and immigration considerations which must be balanced with the specific strategic business objectives and the individual’s circumstances. International assignments can incur significant costs which can be reduced or managed provided consideration is given to the legislative compliance issues and appropriate forward planning is undertaken.
The staff mobility infrastructure consisting of international assignment policies, procedures and systems has been developed to provide support for international staff mobility and operationalise the University’s international agenda.
Mobility in this context is not restricted to the current international campuses and centres of the University only but also to support staff involved in new initiatives and ventures in other countries.
