Future Summit Leadership Awards 2012
Online Nomination
About the awards
The 'Future Summit' Leadership Awards are awarded as part of the 'Future Summit', an initiative of the Australian Davos Connection. Awards are offered each year to recognise outstanding new-generation leaders for their achievements and to contribution to a vision for Australia's future.
Monash values its leaders and wishes to encourage staff who have a vision for Australia to be nominated for an award. Staff may be nominated if they:
- are between 25 and 45 years of age as at 30 June 2012. Typically, the candidate would have 5-15 years of outstanding professional work experience and a clear indication of playing a substantial leadership role for the rest of his or her career
- demonstrate that they occupy positions of responsibility or are recognised as leaders in their field
- demonstrate an ability to promote economically, socially or culturally important issues
- articulate a vision for Australia
- demonstrate a clear ability to communicate thoughts and ideas to their peers
Please note: It is a condition of the 2012 Australian Leadership Awards that awardees attend both days of the Future Summit on 14 - 15 May at the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne, including the Awardees' breakfast and Awards dinner on 14 May.
Awardee benefits include:
- Complimentary registration to the prestigious Future Summit for three consecutive years, currently valued at $1950.00 per delegate per year.
- Formal recognition at Future Summit 2012 and in the associated Future Summit Handbook and Report;
- Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to Australia’s future through participation in the Summit;
- Opportunity to interact with some of the nation’s pre-eminent leaders, to exchange ideas and build valuable contacts, and;
- Membership of the Australian Leadership Award Alumni Program, which includes a range of alumni events throughout the year.
Staff must be nominated and approved through an internal Monash process, co-ordinated by the Monash HR, prior to submissions being made to the 'Future Summit' Leadership Awards.
Nominators who are well acquainted with the staff member, and able to attest to his or her suitability, can nominate using the above form. Once nominations have been processed centrally, nominees will be contacted directly and asked to submit a brief statement outlining their vision for the future, and to provide their curriculum vitae along with three referees. Nominations close on Tuesday 7 February 2012
