Future Summit Leadership Awards 2010

Nomination Form 2010

The 'Future Summit' Leadership Awards are awarded as part of the 'Future Summit', an initiative of the Australian Davos Connection.  Awards are offered each year to recognise outstanding new-generation leaders for their achievements and to contribution to a vision for Australia's future.

Monash values its leaders and wishes to encourage staff who have a vision for Australia to be nominated for an award. Staff may be nominated if they:

  • currently occupy a position of responsibility or are recognised as leaders in their field and are able to articulate a vision for Australia that promotes economically, socially and culturally important issues
  • are aged between 25 and 45 years of age. Typically, the candidate would have 5-15 years of outstanding professional work experience and would be anticipated to play a substantial leadership role for the foreseeable future
  • demonstrate an ability to promote economically, socially or culturally important issues
  • can articulate how their attendance at the Future Summit will enable them to achieve their vision for Australia
  • can demonstrate a clear ability to communicate thoughts and ideas to their peers.

Staff must be nominated and approved through an internal Monash process, co-ordinated by the HR Division, prior to submissions being made to the 'Future Summit' Leadership Awards.

Nominators who are well acquainted with the staff member, and able to attest to his or her suitability, can nominate using the above form.  Once nominations have been processed centrally, nominees will be contacted directly and asked to submit a brief statement outlining their vision for the future, and to provide their curriculum vitae along with three referees.
