New release - 1 September 2008

A completely new version of ESS, based on the new SAP technology (also known as Webdynpro) was released in 1 September 2008. This new version of ESS introduces a new look and feel’ and new functionality, it also improves compatibility with non Internet Explorer browsers such as Firefox and allows Mac users full functionality of ESS.   A range of support information, including a Change Management Document and Web Based Training (WBT) application is available here.

What are the current known issues with ESS?

This 1 September 2008 release of ESS has some known issues that were introduced after critical patches were applied at the end of the 2007/2008 financial year in June.  These issues have been referred back to the vendor and include: 

• White border around the inner page
• Payment Summary screen can take up to 10 seconds to return information
• Alignment of certain fields have changed
