Global Emails

The Media Communications Unit is responsible for the distribution of global emails throughout the University. Global emails are used to facilitate communication and ensure that all staff receive important announcements. The University's global email policy was updated in March 2011. Staff may receive the following emails from the global email manager:

RED Global Emails

These alert staff to significant announcements of an urgent nature, health and safety and security issues.

BLUE Global Emails

Important messages from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

Submitting Global Email Information

Staff needing to alert the university to an urgent matter through a global email should first contact the Media Communications unit on ext: 34840.

Media Communications reserves the right to determine the suitability of any global email request.

Global emails to students

A separate framework exists for student global emails. Submissions for emails to be sent to all students should be emailed to the relevant faculty or divisional representative (Monash only).

Monash Memo

Monash Memo Online is sent to all staff every Wednesday. In addition to the news articles written by the Media Communications staff, Memo Online includes links to Employment, What's On and news sites from a range of Faculties, Campuses and Support Services. Monash Memo links to the News and Events section of the website and includes anything newsworthy or event worthy around the university.
