Information For Green Office Representatives

Green Office representatives hold voluntary positions that aim to improve environmental practice at Monash by encouraging changes to daily work practices that will minimise waste and utilise energy efficiently.

The responsibilities of Green Office representatives include:

  • improving environmental awareness
  • receiving and distributing resources and information from the Green Office Coordinator, OHSE
  • providing information for staff and students to minimise waste and utilise energy efficiently
  • setting up environmental initiatives in their offices, eg recycling programs, environmental assessments
  • encouraging their colleagues to adopt environmentally friendly office practices

Green Office Seminars

Green Office seminars present external environmental issues in a local context. Each seminar features an exciting guest speaker from the environmental field, and informs staff and students of the opportunities they have to improve their environmental performance on campus.
