First Aid Training

In order to minimise risk, staff who undertake a first aid course and act as Monash University first aiders are expected to undergo a Hepatitis B Immunisation course, paid for by their department. Whilst courses have been primarily scheduled for Caulfield, Clayton and Peninsula, other campuses can nominate staff to attend one of the scheduled courses or alternatively, can arrange site-specific training through OHSE, if they have adequate numbers of participants.

Course Materials

All participants will receive course notes and a certificate.

During courses, participants will have the use of class sets of bandages, resource manuals, and manikins on a ratio of a maximum of 1 manikin per 3 participants.
