First Aid Level 2 - Senior First Aid
Overview
After completion of this course, participants should be able to carry out emergency first aid procedures in the first few minutes of a life-threatening incident and carry out level 2 emergency first aid procedures.
Topics covered are: cardiopulmonary resuscitation, initial first aid management of the collapsed or unconscious patient, bleeding and manage common injuries and minor disorders such as cuts, fractures, burns, bruises and sprains and the First Aid Code of Practice. Participants will be required to complete an examination on the final day of the course.
First aiders are required to renew their First aid certificates every three years.
All enrolments must be submitted to OH&S no later than 5 working days prior to course commencement.
