Procurement Framework Endorsed

A key outcome of the SpendWise initiative was the University recognising the need to establish a procurement framework to achieve a best practice sustainable procurement capability. By achieving this capability uplift, the University will be able to capture significant value by implementing the “best overall arrangement” when dealing with external providers of goods and/or services.

A key milestone has been achieved with the Strategy & Resources Committee and Procurement Board having endorsed the framework, as the next step in the procurement journey commenced by Monash in 2006.

To assist the University in applying the framework, the Strategic Procurement Group will be undertaking briefings on the details of the framework over the coming weeks through the following forums:

Faculty Financial Management Group
Resource Managers Interest Group
Finance Briefings
