Procurement Board

Role of the Procurement Board

One of the key outcomes from the recent review of Procurement activities has been the establishment of a new governance framework which has created a Procurement Board as the peak overseeing body within the framework. Many of the SpendWise recommendations have now been approved by the Procurement Board.

The Procurement Board was established to:
Promote and oversee procurement best practice in the processes used by the University’s Faculties and Divisions to procure goods and services in order to achieve value for the University’s expenditure.

  • Promote the development of the University’s procurement capability.
  • Assess the efficiency, effectiveness and economy of procurement management arrangements in the University.
  • Recommend procurement policy and procedures and to monitor the appropriateness of those policies in meeting the University’s needs.

Attached is a document containing the full terms of reference of the Procurement Board.
