Domestic Airline Agreements

Monash have domestic airline agreements in place with Qantas and Virgin Blue. Both airline agreements provide Monash with excellent discounts on fares available directly on airline websites. 

Both Qantas and Virgin Blue provide a range of flexible and non-flexible fares to all major Monash travel destinations throughout Australia. In most circumstances, Virgin Blue will provide the most competitive fares between the two airlines.

Please Note: These airline agreements are only available for bookings via the endorsed travel managers - HRG and Voyager.

Qantas

Qantas provides Monash discounts on all fare classes with the exception of Red-e-Deal fares. In most cases the discounts provided by the airline through the travel managers will be greater than the fees charged by the travel managers, especially if the booking is made through one of the Travel Managers online booking tools.

For example a one way Qantas Flexi Saver fare between Melbourne and Sydney costs $325.60 including the $6.60 credit card surcharge if booked through the Qantas website. Booked through either HRG or Voyager, the fare reduces to $283.79, a saving of $41.81.

Virgin Blue

Virgin Blue provides Monash discounts on all fares distributed by the airline. Due to the low cost nature of the fares sold by Virgin Blue, in some cases the discount provided through the travel managers will not offset the cost of booking through the travel manager unless you make the booking online through Serko.

For example a one way Virgin Blue Flexible fare between Melbourne and Sydney costs $279.00 if booked through the Virgin Blue website. Booked through Serko, the fare reduces to $233.50, a saving of $23.50.
