The University Archives houses records of permanent value, which are
records kept for administrative, legal, historical or research purposes. The collection includes:
- Records of the university governing bodies, such as, Council, Academic
Board, Committee of Deans and other significant committees
- Central administration records including records of the Vice Chancellor
and senior administrators
- Records of amalgamation partners and predecessor institutions:
- Records of the University Union and Sports and Recreation Association
- Records related to student activities and associations
- Records of performing and creative arts, including Alexander Theatre
- Personal records of senior academics and administrators
