Gippsland plays host

Staff at the Gippsland campus have been busy over the summer period playing host to a range of different community groups.

During January, the campus was host to the Junior Chess Championships with more than 250 secondary students, their coaches and family members on campus for two weeks.

Last week, delegates came to Gippsland from across Australia to attend the Distance Education Library Conference and then it was the turn of dairy farmers from across the state who were on campus to attend a one-day conference.

The busy round of activities continues later in February with a conference for 450 kindergarten and primary school teachers interspersed with a constant stream of secondary students including Cranbourne Secondary College and Flinders Christian Community College, both of whom will be undertaking their orientation programs at the campus.
