  • AusStats training

Monash University Library has recently subscribed to the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) internet-based statistical service AusStats, which is updated daily and has a full text search facility.

The service provides all standard ABS publications from 1998 with extensive linking between related information, plus time series data.

There are more than 2000 spreadsheets covering finance, agriculture, manufacturing, demography, health, environment, education, tourism and more. Some Reserve Bank of Australia and OECD data is also available.

AusStats can be accessed from the library databases page at www.lib.monash.edu.au/databases/ Any queries or problems using the service should be directed to sue.little@lib.monash.edu.au

For staff wanting to know more about AusStats, hands-on introductory sessions are being held at the Matheson Library on the Clayton campus from 1 pm to 2 pm on 11, 12 and 24 July. For bookings, contact extn 55054.
