  • Correction

Items of Interest from Council last week recorded Council's approval of the establishment of a Centre for Medical and Health Services Education. The correct name is Centre for Medical and Health Sciences Education.

  • Remembering Bach at Monash

An eight-session program of Bach compositions will be held from 28 July to 30 July to mark the 250th anniversary of the death of baroque composer J.S. Bach.

Under the hand of artistic director John O'Donnell, Bach 250 Commemoration opens with the Mass in B minor at St Patrick's Cathedral in East Melbourne.

The session starts at 8.45 pm on 28 July, marking the exact time of Bach's death 250 years ago.

Other sessions over the weekend, which will include Bach's Brandenburg Concertos, will be held at the Robert Blackwood Concert Hall at the Clayton campus.

A ticket to all eight sessions is $199 and single sessions range from $21 to $38.

The commemoration is presented by the Melbourne Early Music Festival in association with Monash University. For bookings, contact extn 51111.

  • Questionnaire reminder

All academic and general staff are being asked to fill out an online staff questionnaire to determine the breadth and depth of expertise within the university.

The questionnaire has been developed by staff from Budget and Statistical Services, and a range of Monash staff have been consulted in its development. See http://bass.adm.monash.edu.au/statistics/sq/sqintro.htm for further details.
