Bus and coach course awards

The Institute of Transport Studies recently held its inaugural awards dinner for the Transport Management Course in Bus and Coach Operations.

The course was developed with Victorian Department of Infrastructure and the Bus Association of Victoria to meet the needs of the bus and coach industry.

The course is a distance education program and forms part of the new industry accreditation system which came into effect from 1 May 2000.

The awards dinner was attended by nearly 100 people and guest speaker was Parliamentary Secretary for Infrastructure and Coburg MP Mr Carlo Carli.

Mr Carli also presented awards to students who had achieved outstanding results in the course.

For information on the transport management course, contact Ms Brenda O'Keefe on extn 59627.
