The Administrative Support Staff Network is hosting its annual cocktail party on 15 November, from 5.15 pm to 7.30 pm at the University Club. The Japanese Studies Centre at Clayton campus is seeking people to host a Japanese university student for three weeks early next year. The intercultural program is an opportunity for people to broaden their horizons, have fun and at the same time earn some money. The centre is looking for families or students willing to welcome the students into their homes, and to experience and share different cultures and lifestyles. Monash arts student Ms Jennifer Jackson recently received the $300 Mature-Age and Part-time Students Association (MAPS) Scholarship. MAPS president Mr Zafi Bachar and selection panelist Mr Ian Goldsworthy presented the scholarship to Ms Jackson for her perseverance and academic achievement. The MAPS executive committee established the scholarship to encourage participation of mature-age, part-time and distance education students in tertiary education. |
