Italian study tour

Department of Applied Arts head Associate Professor Bernard Hoffert recently led a study group on a visual tour around Tuscany in Italy.

Dr Hoffert said the group was studying the visual culture of Italian medieval communal cities, including Prato, home of the Palazzo Vaj, where the Monash University Centre is located.

Other sites visited included Arezzo, Sansepolcro, Siena and Lucca.

The group included academics from Monash and four other Australian universities.
