International Women's Day events

Monash staff are invited to wear the feminist colours of purple, green and white for International Women's Day on Thursday 8 March.

Two events have been organised to celebrate the diversity and culture of women.

Well-known radio personality, publisher, editor and current Victorian College of the Arts deputy director Ms Louise Adler will be guest speaker at a lunch, to be held at Caulfield Racecourse from 12 noon to 2 pm.

Cost is $25, and men are welcome to attend. For more information, contact Ms Suzanne Wolf on extn 32500.

Meanwhile, at Clayton campus, managing director of the Council for Equal Opportunity in Employment Ms Rohan Squirchuk will speak at a buffet luncheon at the Monash Club from 12.30 pm to 2 pm.

She will discuss the theme of balancing the competing demands of work, family and other obligations.

The lunch will include an update on Monash's Work, Life and Family Strategy, which aims to promote awareness among management and staff about the university's flexible work options.

The cost of the luncheon is $16, to be paid on the day. For more details, contact Mrs Judy Suli on extn 56923.
