Putting students in touch with employers

More than 800 students took part in the business, commerce and engineering vacation employment fair held last month by the Monash Student Employment and Careers Service (MONSEACS).

Careers fair coordinator Ms Gilda Moss said 22 organisations were involved in the fair, held at the Clayton campus.

"Vacation employment is becoming increasingly popular with employers as an opportunity to assess students' potential for graduate employment," Ms Moss said.

"Students also benefit from vacation employment by putting their theoretical learning into practice and experiencing the environment of professional services."

MONSEACS careers counsellors are available to assist students with their applications for vacation employment. For more information, call extn 53151.
