Monash Memo - 6 June 2001Back to this edition's story list SIF applications soughtFaculty project teams are invited to apply for funds available under the Strategic Innovations Fund (SIF). The fund was established to support the university's commitment to the further pursuit of innovation, quality, efficiency and effectiveness in course delivery. For the 2001 round, preference will be given to projects that develop online teaching and learning approaches, develop and assess graduate attributes or focus on internationalising the curriculum. All applications must show faculty level support for the project by obtaining the signature of the dean of the applicant's faculty. Applications should be submitted to Ms Natalie Mitchell, planning adviser, Planning and Academic Affairs, Room G41, building 3a, by Monday 30 July. The Strategic Innovations Fund 2001 guidelines and application pro forma are available at www.adm.monash.edu.au/paa/grants/sif_gde.html The Centre for Learning and Teaching Support will hold a seminar between 9 am and 1 pm on Friday 29 June to assist applicants with their proposals. Attendees should have mapped out their projects and have in-principle support from their faculties for their proposals prior to attending the seminar.
