Monash Memo - 13 June 2001Back to this edition's story list Vice-chancellor's awardsNominations are open for the 2001 Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Distinguished Teaching, Excellence in Team-Based Educational Development, and Postgraduate Supervision. The aim of the awards is to recognise outstanding contributions to distinguished teaching, educational development and postgraduate supervision. The teaching and supervision awards consist of $5000, a medallion and a permanent citation in the University Calendar. The educational development award is for $10,000. Full-time academic staff are eligible for the teaching awards, while those supervising research students are eligible for the postgraduate supervision awards. Teams nominated for the educational development award can include mixed academic and general staff. Nominations must be supported by staff and students and provide evidence of the nominee's teaching, educational work or supervision in the university.
