Are you looking for ways to keep the kids occupied during the school holidays?

Vacation care is available from 2 to 13 July at the Clayton campus for all children aged between five and 12. The program includes rollerblading, cooking, art and craft, pottery, science and much more.

The cost is $27 a day, less for parents who qualify for the child care benefit. For more information, call the Family Advisory Service on extn 53156.

Book a venue

Staff planning to hold a meeting, seminar, workshop or computer training course can book a venue through the Monash University Facilities and Conference Office (MUFCO).

Discount rates of 50 per cent are on offer for fee-paying events at the Clayton and Caulfield campuses.

Most venues are available during the mid-semester and end-of-year breaks. For more information, call Margaret or Lydia on extn 53101.

Campus ministry conference

The annual National Tertiary Campus Ministry Association Conference will be held from 20 June to 4 July at the Gippsland campus.

The 2001 conference, titled 'At the Coal Face', will include the Chaplaincy Lecture Series featuring speakers Dr David Tacey (La Trobe University) talking about spirituality, Associate Professor Simon Marginson (Monash) discussing tertiary education and Dr Kath Engebretson (Australian Catholic University), who will focus on youth culture.

For more information, contact Ms Maria Bradford on extn 26499.

Exploring beliefs

The Centre for Studies in Religion and Theology is hosting two conferences which will run concurrently from 29 June to 1 July.

2001: a Bible Odyssey is an international conference focusing on Biblical scholarship, while Culture and Belief explores the interaction between religious traditions and developments in contemporary thought including feminist theory, ecology, deconstruction and postmodernism.

The keynote speaker for both events is Ms Regina Schwartz, author of The Curse of Cain. The conferences will be held in lecture theatre E7 and rooms G29 and G33, building 72, Clayton.
