Monash Memo - 27 June 2001Back to this edition's story list Musical fun for childrenThe children's music show Ticklish Allsorts will be on stage at the Alexander Theatre in early July. The Australian show, which last year completed a highly successful tour to Russia, offers youngsters a high-energy, interactive musical experience. Three performers provide entertainment featuring a variety of musical styles, including jazz/swing, rock'n'roll, Latin, rap, country, Celtic and blues. The young audience is encouraged to join in with the actions, movements and songs of characters such as Alistair the Scottish Teddy Bear and Radish the Pantomine Horse. The song 'Ali-gator Rock' is a favourite amongst the mums in the audience, while 'Better Get a Wriggle On' depicts the morning rush hour in most family households. Ticklish Allsorts has toured to schools, venues and outdoor events in South Australia, Victoria and Canberra. Two shows are scheduled at 10 am and 1 pm on Thursday 3 July.
