Monash Memo - 25 July 2001Back to this edition's story list Holiday care funThree Gippsland-based students helped out with the recent July vacation care program as an extension of their Bachelor of Sport and Outdoor Recreation/Bachelor of Education program. The students, Christopher Whitfield, Tate Sheen with Dion McDonald, assisted with a range of outdoor activities including football and basketball clinics, rollerblading, hockey, soccer and team-building exercises. The program provided activities for 75 children enrolled across three groups. Run by Monash's Family Advisory Service and the Peer Support Program (based at Gippsland), the program is offered to children aged five to 12 years.
