Monash Memo - 1 August 2001Back to this edition's story list Survey winners announcedMs Emma Barling from the Monash Asia Institute is the lucky winner of a $500 book voucher, after completing a recent survey on staff services. Ms Barling and the student winner, Ms Selvia Lee, were chosen at random from more than 5000 Monash staff and students who responded to the survey. Announcing the two winners last week, deputy vice-chancellor (Resources) Ms Alison Crook thanked all respondents for giving very valuable feedback to the Student and Staff Services (SSS) Project teams. "We now have meaningful data on which to base improvements that ensure Monash truly leads the way in service delivery right across the university," Ms Crook said. Divisional director of Student and Staff Services Mr Peter Marshall said survey results showed that nearly 90 per cent of respondents had favourable perceptions of the overall quality and value of services provided. "But there are certainly some dissatisfied customers who have helped to pinpoint where our priorities should be directed," he said. Over the next few weeks, the SSS Taskforce, led by director of Strategy, Student and Staff Services Ms Jane Symington and SSS project manager Ms Lisa Pawlicka, will meet with all service areas to examine the survey findings in detail and decide further action.
