Monash Memo - 8 August 2001Back to this edition's story list A whole new ball game
The University Health Service at Clayton campus took delivery of an unusual mode of transport last week - a golf cart. Health Service head Dr Craig Blandy said the golf cart, donated by the University Bookshop, would be used as an emergency vehicle for getting patients across the campus to the health centre. "We are very grateful to bookshop manager Jim McGrath and everyone at the bookshop for their efforts in helping us buy the cart," Dr Blandy said. "It will help speed up emergency response times and is ideal for getting patients across campus quickly. We all had a test drive over the university break and found it to ideal."
