Monash Memo - 12 September 2001Back to this edition's story list College of GPs thanks lecturerSenior lecturer at the Centre for Medical Informatics at Monash Institute of Health Services Research Ms Wendy McPhee has been presented with a medallion at the annual general meeting of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. The award was made in recognition of Ms McPhee's contribution as co-chair of the Scientific Program Committee for the RACGP's 11th Computer Conference, held recently in Melbourne. The conference, which attracted more than 750 participants, looked at the changes and opportunities presented when the worlds of medicine and informatics combined. Following the presentation of her medallion, Ms McPhee said she was honoured by the accolade and appreciated the interest shown by health professionals in the implementation of IT and information management in the workplace.
