Monash Memo - 19 September 2001Back to this edition's story list Services to be reviewedFive Monash staff services will be reviewed this year as a result of feedback from more than 2900 Monash staff who responded to the recent survey conducted by the SSS Taskforce. Analysis of the survey results identified HR payroll and advisory services, staff recruitment, appointments, reappointments and reclassifications as services and processes needing to be reviewed. The review process will involve mapping these services across the university and recommending how improvements can be made. SSS project manager Ms Lisa Pawlicka said representatives from staff services and faculties will be involved in the review of each service. "We know that staff do their utmost to provide good service, but we are focused on finding ways to enhance service delivery to better meet client needs," she said. "The review teams will consult widely to ensure that measurable improvements in service can be implemented." Following the review of the five staff services, selected student services will be reviewed in 2002. A summary of the SSS Taskforce survey results and progress reports on actions taken can be found at www.adm.monash. edu.au/sss/taskforce/ |
